Team Magic has teamed up with Kids Tri, Inc. to bring you the new Nashville Kids Triathlon on June 5th

Does your son or daughter ever mention they want to grow up to be just like you? The older they get, the less likely you are to hear this. However, there is a chance they can share the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes from being a triathlete for many years to come. As you well know, triathlon is truly a lifelong sport that more and more families are enjoying together.

With these thoughts in mind, there is no better race to introduce your kids to the sport of triathlon than The Nashville Kids Triathlon, coming to you on June 5, 2011. Organized by a group that specializes in kid’s triathlons, and Race Directed by Team Magic, the race is more an event. It is a festival of music & fun, not to mention the swimming, biking and running.

XTERRA at Oak Mountain: Southeast Championship

The XTERRA America Tour returns to Alabama on May 21-22 for the 5th year.

This year the organizers have made the short distance triathlon very beginner friendly.

"Oak Mountain offers some of the finest mountain biking in America" said director Dave Nicholas. "I see such a great crowd of enthusiastic people at Buster Britton and we've changed our course to a really fun, non-technical mountain bike ride and a brand new run that goes around the lake using the new trails finished late last year. We'd love to see a bunch of folks stop being curious and come out and give it a try. I'll make the offer of a $50 entry fee to Team Magic's fans, regular fee is $75."

Team Magic kicks off tri season with two great entry level pool swim triathlons Memorial Day Weekend.

As you know, the southeastern United States (especially Alabama) has been devastated by tornadoes and severe weather recently. The people in that area now face an immediate need for food, shelter, clothing...and hope.

Guntersville, Alabama the long time host of our Mountain Lakes Triathlon, was one of the communities hit very hard.

Team Magic's online registration host, imATHLETE, has launched three fundraising sites to provide relief to those in need. We want to help and we hope you do too.

UNITED WAY OF MARSHALL COUNTY - TORNADO RELIEF
The United Way's work is focused on the building blocks for a good life, including: Education, Income, Health and Basic Needs. In this time of crisis for the people of Marshall County, Alabama - an area that got hit extremely hard - the United Way's efforts are even more critical.

AMERICAN RED CROSS - 2011 TORNADO RELIEF EFFORT
The American Red Cross is one of the nation's premier emergency response organizations, distinguishing themselves by aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. The American Red Cross has recently mobilized a special 2011 Tornado Relief Effort to care directly for the victims of the recent devastation.

FEEDING AMERICA - TORNADO DISASTER RELIEF EFFORT
As the path of devastation and ruin ripped through the south, hundreds of thousands are left homeless or without electricity, food and clean drinking water. Feeding America is on the ground in affected communities, helping people recover from the disasters with food, water and household necessities.

Thank you for your giving in this time of need. Our thoughts and hearts go out to those who have been affected by the disasters.
