Whistlestop Duathlon
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Whistlestop Duathlon(4K/27.5K/4K)
Same terrain as the Powerman course, just one lap instead of two on the bike and the run course will only do one of the Powerman out-and-back segments.
The Run: The first and second runs will be the same out-and-back 4K run in residential irondale. Mostly flat, with some gradual hills.
The Bike: The course is partially out-and-back, with one loop for the Whistlestop race (two loops for the Powerman distance) in the middle of the course. Plan on some hills! Much of the course includes the original Whistlestop course.
Course Maps:
Food & Fluid Available On Course
There will be Powerade and water on the run course. There is no bottledrop on the bike course for the Whistlestop racers, only Powerman. Energy gel will be provided in your race bag.
TRANSITION AREA RULES
ALL BIKES MUST BE IN THE TRANSITION AREA ON SUNDAY MORNING NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM. Please respect other participants that are racing before your wave start begins, or may still be racing when you are finished. Keep on alert for racers as you move in and out of transition before, during and after your race is over.
You will rack your bike according to your race number. Pre-registered race numbers are assigned based on age group within your race (Powerman and Whistlestop being in separate area.) Late registrants will receive last numbers and be racked in the same area.
