This downtown triathlon takes the place of the popular Chattanooga Dam Triathlon of years past and the original Riverbend Triathlon from "many moons" ago. The Chattanooga triathlon tradition began over 25 years ago - we are happy to keep it alive and hope you agree we have developed one of the best races in the country - not to be missed!

CHATTANOOGA WATERFRONT NAMED SOUTHEAST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP AND QUALIFIER FOR USA TRIATHLON NATIONAL TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP
As the Southeast Regionals Triathlon Championship, this race will qualify the top 33% or top 5 finishers (whichever is greater) in each age group for the 2010 Age Group National Championships taking place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on September 25th. The top U.S. age group athletes must qualify to compete in the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championship.
