Lace up your shoes on Saturday, November 24 and shed the Thanksgiving pounds at the 4th Annual Kaiser Realty Coastal Half Marathon and 5K. Runners from around the country will gather at the Orange Beach Sportsplex before taking off on the Half-Marathon, 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Run.

HALF-MARATHON COURSE DESCRIPTION
A fun mix of paved trail through the Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Gulf State Park "back-country" along with stretches on the Gulf State Park main drive - all but about 3 miles is on the beautiful, back-country paved trail system. This system has been expanded each year since this event started, so we continue to adjust the course to take advantage of these amazing, peaceful trails.
5K & 1 MILE RUN DESCRIPTION
Both the 5k run & 1 mile run start behind the soccer fields on the service road and proceed west on the trail like the Half-Marathon course. The 5k will turn around at 1.5 miles and the 1 mile will turn around at a 1/2 mile. Both runs go straight back to the start line, which is now the race finish line. The 5k & 1 mile run will be completely on the paved back-country trail.
All courses are USATF certified courses beginning and finishing at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
Water and Energy Drink will be available approximately every 1.5 miles on the half-marathon course and at the 1.5 mile turnaround on the 5k course.
Hammergel will be offered at the several water stations on the course, around mile 4.5, mile 8 and mile 11.
There will be mile marker signs at each actual mile - note that the water stations are not located at the mile markers, but instead at the most ideal geographic location approximately every 1.5 miles for the half-marathon.
A portable toilet will be around mile 6 after you exit E. Beach Blvd. onto the Rosemary Dunes Back Country Trail. Indoor easily accessible restrooms are located near mile 8 just off the running trail and near mile 10 in the Orange Beach City Hall area.

All Team Magic events are timed using IPICO chip timing (also known as " shoe tags".) These timing chips are the property of Team Magic Inc. You will receive a timing chip on race morning. You must show your bib number to receive the timing chip to insure your race results are accurate. If you lose or do not return the timing chip - you will be charged a $15 replacement fee. An additional $1 a day fee is added for any chip not returned after 7 days. Volunteers will be at the finish line to collect all chips.
Helpful tips:
1. Secure the timing chip / shoe tag with provided zip ties.
2. No Timing Chip = No Time
3. Double check and make sure the timing chip is securely fastened and will stay on during your run.

Friday packet pick up and late registration will be at the Orange Beach Conference Center at The Wharf. All race day activities are held at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
Sunday, November 4th at Midnight
Last chance to register for the early entry fee and insure you receive a performance race shirt for the Half-Marathon and 5k runs! All racers that pre-register by this time will get a long sleeve technical shirt. Please note sizes are gender specific and technical shirts run a bit smaller for women, so you may want to size up your order.

12:00 PM - All Half-Marathon entrants must have completed the course. This requires a pace of about 18 minutes per mile for walkers.

Once again, the Half-Marathon distance will serve as the RRCA Alabama State Championship. RRCA State Championship branded coasters will be awarded to Male and Female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters and Great Grand Masters.

Important Note About Our Event Awards
Team Magic hopes you will join us after each race for the awards ceremony - this is the grand finale of each event and is held very soon after the final race finisher.
Our awards are most often product awards and a recognition award of your placement. We do not ship awards or make them available for pick up after the awards ceremony is completed. Please make arrangements for someone to pick up your award at the event or plan on staying for the awards ceremony. Award categories are available on each race web page.
Preliminary results will be posted as soon as possible at the race site - the location will be announced by our race announcer. If you see that you will be receiving an award but cannot stay for the ceremony, please designate a fellow racer, friend, or volunteer to claim your award. All awards not claimed at the race site will be distributed to race sponsors, city officials, race supporters and at future race prize drawings.

Confirmation Packages & Race Information
A confirmation notice will be e-mailed to all entrants when they register. All registrants will receive a race detail confirmation email within one week of the race. PLEASE review the race information inside the email for the most current race weekend in formation. All participants are viewable as they register at imAthlete.com. CONFIRMATION PACKETS WILL NOT BE MAILED IN ADVANCE. If you do not have an email address, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope with your race entry and your confirmation information will be mailed through the U.S. Postal Service.
Refund Policy:
Team Magic in general has a NO REFUND policy. However, we do offer a partial credit during our cancellation period.
- A credit for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 21 days prior to the race date.
- Credits can be used to register for another Team Magic event and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
- In order to receive the credit, login to www.imATHLETE.com, select "My Events" and click "Manage Registration" on the event you'd like to cancel.
Volunteer for Credit Option
If it is too close to the race to receive the credit as defined above, by volunteering for a Team Magic event, a credit can be awarded for the $ amount paid for race registration. We do not include credit for imAthlete service fees or USAT membership fees.
Procedure for receiving volunteer credit:
1. Before online registration is closed, cancel your registration through imAthlete per above directions and send a copy of cancellation to races@team-magic.com. Once online registration is closed only a 50% credit will be offered.
2. Volunteer 1 day for any Team Magic owned event to get 100% credit for your race entry fee. Sign up online via volunteer local to volunteer.
3. Bring a copy of your cancellation email and response from Team Magic to the volunteer coordinator.
6. Work your required shifts and check out with the volunteer coordinator.
7. A code for race entry credit amount earned will be awarded via email.
Event Cancellation or Modification Policy:
If Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:
1. Team Magic, Inc. in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first.
2. Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Team Magic, Inc. and local officials
3. Financial: It is not financially feasible for Team Magic, Inc. to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races. The money you paid is spent developing the subject event.
4. Team Magic, Inc. does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled or for reasons beyond our control. All supplies and services needed for the events are purchased and/or arranged in advance. All event supplies and services associated with that event must be paid for, regardless of the outcome.

Notes:
1. Please do not park in any grassy areas. There are plenty of parking spaces - keep driving to the southern lot - see map above.
2. Please use provided garbage cans for your trash - respect our host property
3. There are indoor restrooms on the south end of the staging field.
4. There are two portable toilets on the west side / adjacent to the indoor restrooms.
