GJCC Memorial Day Triathlon

 

We are sorry to report that the GJCC Memorial Day Triathlon has been canceled due to staffing changes at the host facility, the Gordon Jewish Community Center.

 

Team Magic has really enjoyed working with the nice folks at the GJCC the past 5 years and will miss them when Memorial Day Weekend rolls around.

 

Team Magic wants to continue offering an early season beginner friendly option so the nice folks at McMinnville have agreed to make the date/distance adjustment.

 

 

For those of you that have never been to McMinnville, it is only about 75 miles southeast of Nashville and the race is starting at 8:30 am to give morning arrivals a little more time! The race will be held on Saturday, May 29th.

 

The new race distances will be just like the GJCC for the swim at 200 meters and the run at 2 miles. The bike course will be slightly longer at 10.5 miles but an easier course than GJCC.

 

The outdoor pool is set up with 50 meter lanes for the race & the other side of the pool is GREAT for post-race fun for the kids, or triathletes that like to pretend they are kids! You will be hard pressed to find a more welcoming crowd than the city of McMinnville police, emergency, and recreation center personnel & local volunteers.

 

Online registration is now open - those pre-registered for GJCC should have received a direct communication from Team Magic, but can also contact races@team-magic.com for complete details and options.
