You will enter the pool in an "interval start" fashion. Participants line up by race number (beginning with the lowest number to the highest.) Race Numbers are assigned based on your estimated swim time you submitted when you registered. If you would like to start at the back, that is fine. Your racking position in transition is also organized by your race number. One person at a time enters the pool and begins swimming when given the start command. Swim down the first lane, touch the wall, go under the lane rope, swim down that lane, and continue the same process until you exit after swimming 4 lengths for a total of 200 meters. You exit the pool at a "zero degree" entrance/exit area for a smooth exit. Volunteers will direct you to the transition area where you will begin your bike segment of the race. BIKE COURSE: 11.5 miles The bike course is a great mix of rollers and fast, flat sections. Much of the course is on the McMinnville Bypass, with very low traffic and plenty room. Expect great support on the course from the City of McMinnville and Warren County officials. RUN COURSE: 2 miles The run course is very residential. The course travels through neighborhoods surrounding the host facility. There will be a hydration station as you exit the transition for your run start and on the course. It is our pleasure to manage this event for our host city of McMinnville - you can expect a warm welcome from a great set of city officials, emergency personnel, police, parks and recreation employees and community volunteers. You will be receiving another email on Thursday this week with a link to your race information booklet for download and some reminders about the event, including some race information you need to print and bring with you to make the packet pick up process as smooth as possible! McMinnville City Triathlon Race Results

Congratulations to all racers in the McMinnville City Triathlon! We would once again like to thank the City of McMinnville, ACME Multisports, Dr. Pepper and Bi Lo of McMinnville, Hammer Nutrition, and Crescent Furniture for sponsoring this great triathlon. Our next event is the BMW of Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon on Sunday, July 15th. If you are not up for the complete distance - put a relay team together and join us for this very festive downtown triathlon. The race entry fee will increase on Tuesday, June 26th, so be sure to get registered before then to save money. The race cutoff is 1200 racers and there are currently over 870 registered. Following the Chattanooga event, we present the Cedars of Lebanon Triathlon on Saturday, July 28th. This race is a perfect "sister" to the McMinnville City Triathlon with a 300 yard swim in there outdoor 50 yard lane pool, 16.5 miles on the bike, and 3 miles on the run! The Schedule: Friday, June 22nd 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Registration & packet pick-up at race site - the McMinnville Civic Center / Parks & Recreation Center 5:00 pm Coach Stephen Taylor presents: "Pre-Race Visualization: Activate Your Best Performance 5:30 pm Coach Stephen Taylor presents: "Form Makes You Fast: Secrets of the Elite" 6:00 pm Race Overview in the Transition Area; Followed by Beginner Q & A Session NOTE FOR THOSE ARRIVING ON FRIDAY NIGHT - Downtown McMinnville has "Beach Theme" Party with live 50's and 60's music, beach volleyball, dancing, food, etc.. with no entry fee on Friday night from 6 pm - 9 pm. Just ask anyone local where to find it...only a mile or two from the race site. Saturday, June 23rd 6:00 am - 6:45am Registration & packet pick-up & body marking 7:00 am Bikes must be in the transition area. Race overview in transition area. 7:30 am Interval swim starts begin by participant race number. ~ 11:00 am Awards ceremony following designated last finisher. Parking: There is a large parking lot on the opposite side of the building from the transition area. 3. Biking before and after the event: the local police ask that you please obey traffic laws and wear a helmet when riding your bike before and after the event. 4. Toilets/Facilities: There are toilets and showers at the pool area and inside the main building. 5. All racers must wear an AMB timing chip to be scored. You will pick up your timing chip on race morning at the white tent behind the finish line and return it at the same location when you complete the race. If you cannot complete the race, please turn your chip in at this location. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PAPER BIB NUMBER TO SHOW TO PICK UP YOUR TIMING CHIP AND GET BODY MARKED ON RACE MORNING. 6. Wrist Bands: We will be placing a wrist band on each racer when you pick up your race packet.
