Old Hickory Lake Triathlon

We are so excited to be bringing you our 9th year of this popular event. Team Magic started our Tennessee triathlon adventure with this event at just over 180 racers and now we sell out at our event capacity of 448 racers. So, don't wait, plan to join us for this unique triathlon, with the run course split into two segments.
Course distances:
400 yd swim / 1.5 mi run / 12.5 mi bike / 1.5 mi run
The host community - the cities of Hendersonville and Gallatin in beautiful lakeside Sumner County and the local triathlon club (HEAT) - makes this a wonderful event for all racers. Expect plenty of course protection by local police & volunteer groups.
The swim course is great for first time open water swimmers - 400 yards in a quiet cove off of Old Hickory Lake.

When possible, Team Magic lists hotel options for your chosen event weekend. These hotels are offering special rates for 
racers and often offer other special amenities like opening breakfast early, providing "old towels" to clean your bikes, late checkout, etc... Look under "Travel" on the quick link menu provided in the left margin of each race home page. New in 2010, someone on the Team Magic staff will visit any property we list to insure the quality our racers expect. Our goal is to provide a range of economical to more high end properties to satisfy our complete audience. If we do not have hotel options listed, unfortunately we were not able to secure any special rates for that event.
