The Swim: The swim is in a 50 meter outdoor pool. You will enter the pool in an "interval start" fashion. Participants line up by race number (beginning with the lowest number to the highest.) Your race number is assigned based on the estimated swim time you provided when you registered.
NEW FOR 2011: Due to a new personalized race number system we are using, THOSE REGISTERED BY MONDAY, MAY 16th are starting in a "1st wave" by swim time. Those that registered after May 16th will also start by swim time, but after all the May 16th and prior pre-registered racers start. We will have a time delay before the "2nd wave" of interval starts begin so the faster swimmers in wave 2 will have open water.
You can choose to line up at the end if you prefer. One person at a time enters the pool and begins swimming when given the start command. Swim down the first lane, touch the wall, go under the lane rope, swim down that lane, and continue the same process until you exit after swimming four lengths for a total of 200 meters. When you exit the pool, volunteers will direct you to the transition area where you will begin your bike segment of the race.
The Bike: The bike course is a loop course on Hwy. 70, Hwy. 100, and Old Hickory Boulevard, with only one real climb about 0.2 mile long.
Race officials and police will monitor intersections and provide direction for bikers.
Please note: there are some orange arrows and white arrows on the course that ARE NOT part of our direction. Please be sure to review your course map and written direction links above and follow on the YELLOW turn arrows that will be in place Saturday. As you leave the main staging area, you make a left turn, after that you have 5 right hand turns and 1 final left turn back into the staging area.
The Run: The run course will be 2 miles out and back on residential roads surrounding the GJCC. (Percy Warner Boulevard)

Important Note About Our Event Awards
Team Magic hopes you will join us after each race for the awards ceremony - this is the grand finale of each event and is held very soon after the final race finisher.
While you wait for the awards, enjoy food and drink donated by Bruegger's Bagels, Publix, Smoothie King Belle Meade, Pepsi and Gatorade. Bottled water at the finish line is donated by Sweet CeCe's plus check your goody bag for coupons. Please let your friends and family know that the food and drink is only complimentary to racers, thanks!
Our awards are most often product awards and a recognition award of your placement. We do not ship awards or make them available for pick up after the awards ceremony is completed. Please make arrangements for someone to pick up your award at the event or plan on staying for the awards ceremony. Award categories are available on each race web page.
Preliminary results will be posted as soon as possible at the race site - the location will be announced by our race announcer. If you see that you will be receiving an award but cannot stay for the ceremony, please designate a fellow racer, friend, or volunteer to claim your award. All awards not claimed at the race site will be distributed to race sponsors, city officials, race supporters and at future race prize drawings.
Complete race results will be posted on our web site as soon as possible after each event, usually within 24 hours.
