Elizabeth Petty, Ringgold, GA
Elizabeth is very active with the Chattanooga Track Club and Triathlon Club and volunteers for a wide array of sporting events around Chattanooga. She became a runner after watching The Biggest Loser in 2006 and thought, “If those people can do it so can I.” She then became interested in triathlon when she volunteered to work a water-stop at the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon. Someone suggested she should try it since she was a runner and a swimmer – so she signed up the next year!!
Why Elizabeth likes Team Magic events: I love that Team Magic races are so well organized and you can always expect a great race! And I like that Team Magic is a local business.
Motivational Quote: Be strong, you never know who you are inspiring!
2017 Race Schedule: Chattanooga Waterfront Tri (volunteer), Mountain Lakes Tri, Alabama Coastal Tri and Mt. Juliet Half Marathon

How to Stay Motivated to Train During Off-season – by Elizabeth Petty
Off-season is coming and that means the holidays are right around the corner! Here are a couple of ways our Team Magic Ambassadors stay motivated between now and the 2018 race season.
1. Make out your 2018 Race "Wish List". From there pick out your A, B, and C races.
2. Set goals. Off-season is the perfect time to work on developing more speed on your run, becoming a more efficient swimmer, and doing some weight workouts that will improve our cycling.
3. Sign up for a winter or early spring half marathon like the St. Patrick’s Day Music City Half Marathon on March 17, 2018 in Nashville, TN.
4. Have fun! During off-season you do not have to log 100's of miles on the bike and hours running. Make sure you go back to your roots, doing fun rides and runs, and remember why you love being active.
